WE CAUGHT UP WITH LAZY GHOST TO CHAT ABOUT THEIR MOST RECENT POST ASKING THEIR FANS TO PLAY AT THEIR HOUSES
IN OUR OPINION, IT'S A GENIUS IDEA.
LAZY GHOST ARE A SURF ROCK BAND FROM THE NORTHERN RIVERS, NSW. THEY HAVE A UNIQUE STORY OF HOW THEY HAVE GOTTEN TO WHERE THEY ARE, STARTING IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY, MULTIPLE INTERNATIONAL TOURS, SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS WITHIN TWO YEARS OF TOUCHING DOWN IN AUSTRALIA. WE COULD KEEP GOING ON ABOUT THE EPIC ACHIEVEMENTS THIS HARD WORKING BAND HAS GARNERED IN SUCH A SHORT PERIOD.

WHAT WERE THE THOUGHTS BEHIND THIS IDEA?
The House Party Tour idea basically came from us wanting to shake things up a bit this year. In a world filled with regular gigs, we thought, why not have some fun and throw parties at people's houses? It's a chance to get up close and personal with our fans, play some music, and just have a good time. The music scene is pretty crowded, so we wanted to do something different and memorable. Plus, who doesn't love meeting new faces and crashing at cool locations? - Kyle
DO YOU HAVE ANY NEW MUSIC COMING? THE FANS SEEM EAGER.
Yeah, we definitely understand that it's been a while since our last track. But we've been working hard on some new stuff! Things are in the pipeline. We've got a new track, "Eat You Alive," gearing up for release, and there's an EP on the horizon slated for May.
CAN YOU TELL US A BIT MORE ABOUT THIS EAT YOU ALIVE TRACK?
Eat You Alive' is a chill exploration of Byron Bay's surf scene from the perspective of the seasoned surf veterans. The song casually unfolds tales of the good old days over coffee at the corner store, offering a mellow vibe with a touch of nostalgia. It's a peek into the easygoing lifestyle of those who've been riding the waves for years, sharing insights and experiences in a relaxed, understated manner.
WELL FELLAS, THANKS FOR ANSWERING A FEW QUESTIONS, CAN YOU LASTLY LET US KNOW WHAT THE PLANS ARE FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR?
Hey, thanks a bunch! For the rest of the year, we're dropping a cool EP, hitting the road for an Aussie tour, vibing in New Zealand, and even taking our tunes on another international adventure. Oh, and expect a bunch of new tracks – 12 to be exact. It's all about good tunes and good times, so stay tuned, catch us on the road. Cheers.
